About Us
Our Station
The station is currently staffed by a total of 17 full time career personnel
(1 Chief, 4 Captains, 12 Firefighters). Our station is manned 24 hours a day
/ 7 Days a week with a minimum staffing of 4 personnel. Each Platoon is comprised
of 1 Captain and 3 Firefighters. The Chief is assigned to the day tour and works Monday
through Friday and is available for on call response when off duty. |
Fire Prevention Bureau
Our Fire Prevention Bureau is responsible to assure that all businesses
of the Fire District are inspected at least annually and that the Uniform
Fire Code for the State of New Jersey is enforced. Our Bureau also provides
fire prevention education to schools and any community organization requesting
it, including fire extinguisher training. For any more information regarding

EMS Engine
Along with responding to fire calls, our
station has taken on the added responsibility of providing medical assistance
to those in need of it. All employees of the Fire District have been trained as
EMTs (Emergency Medical Technicians).
With this training, we are able to provide Basic Life Support along with a
more advanced technique, known as Defibrillation. Defibrillation utilizes a
AED (Automatic External Defibrillator) to deliver an electric shock in order
to start a heart which has stopped beating..
